(More customer reviews)I purchased two recently to frame french doors and they are nothing short of dramatic and gorgeous.The base and top are very heavy so the piece is quite stable.The description of dark oak and gold is not accurate in my opinion.The finish is more of an antiqued oil rubbed bronze--beautiful.Putting it together is simple, but it took my husband and I a little longer (45 minutes total) because we struggled to line up one of the screws.Ihighly recommend this piece if you are looking for drama & presence with european flair.Keep in mind this piece is big--tall & fairly wide so make sure you have the proper space!Also, after shopping at several furniture stores and then lots of time shopping on line--the price for the piece is very good.
