SEI Essex Espresso Media Stand with Sliding Glass-Paneled Doors Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This stand arrived yesterday, one or two days earlier than expected and just in time to put it together before the new LCD TV arrived. I've been assembling furniture, from book cases to office desks, since my college days, many decades ago. This unit is simply the easiest to assemble of any of them including the units from Denmark and Sweden. No special connectors, just dowels and screws. All holes are pre-drilled and the dowel holes are just the right size with no hammering needed. Even the large back panel uses small screws rather than the tiny nails or brads that are usually used. The whole thing went together using just a Phillips screwdriver, and from unpacking through assembling to hauling out the empty box took 45 minutes tops. The finish is excellent and the color is prefect for our living room.

Polished Satin Finish Gooseneck Eye Clip on Reading Desk Lamp Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have had these lights for sometime now and they work with my display at trade shows very well. I also use them when teaching drawing to shine a light on my subjects. I removed the safety cage because they were falling off anyway and I didn't like the look of them. They run rather hot thought so I warn people not to touch them. I may buy a few more if I need them.

Milano Espresso and Mocha Chair Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I know... disposable furniture. I hate to say it as much as you hate hearing it (especially at this price) but its true. I have this chair and the sofa and I really like it. But after about a month of light use with the sofa I already know i will have to be careful if I want it to look as nice as when I bought it. Construction is good. Fabric quality is good as well but dont expect to get 4 or 5 years out of it if you actually do any living in your living room.
Also, its not as comfortable as one would like. The padding is thick but stiff. Maybe i have to break it in but how do I do that without making a big dent in the cushion?
Price wise, you will be smart to check and see if these items are available at local furniture stores. If I had to do it over again I would still buy this collection of furniture but would have waited for the price to dropfor it to be a sure bet. And I would also opt for the Rust and Black which looks pretty hot.

Milano Espresso and Mocha Sofa Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We ordered this sofa and matching ottoman on Target.com with a discount we recieved via email. It has far exceeded our expectations!
I read all the reviews and they are dead on.The upholstery IS darker. The cushions are firm and comfortable. It's very nice. The frame is solid and the fabric luxurious.

The only problem we had is with the freight conractor that Target used being slow to communicate. But, it did arrive in one piece and was easy to put together (having 2 people helped).

If you are thinking about this couch....go ahead! You won't be sorry.

It's high quality and affordable! This is very durable and looks like it costs twice as much.I would buy it all over again! We love it!

Distress Style Black Pedestal CD Tower - Style 36648 Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought two of these for decoration and of course storage of my girlfriend's DVDs in her apartment. Hold's 22 single DVD cases. Not for a huge collection, but does a great job of decorating a room and hiding a DVD collection. Also, the color isn't totally black, has some light wood coloring around it... like the seller says..."distressed black". Overall a good choice if you don't have alot of DVDs.

Linon Sutton Black Media Tower Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I picked this set of shelves because of the design. They are as attractive in reality as the pictures. The set was easy to assemble, with each piece clearly marked, and very clear instructions. Took less than an hour, and feels very sturdy and solid.

The big problem with the piece is that there are many flaws in the wood. In the piece that I received, there is a small hole in the top, which looks like someone had put a pushpin in and later removed it. On one side, there are three small filled holes, clustered together, each about 1/4" in diameter. As it happens, they will face the wall in the place that I am putting this set of shelves, but otherwise I would probably return the piece.

Look yours over carefully for any defects before assembling .

Avington TV Stand - Dark Tobacco Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Bought this 4 months ago, and it was a great purchase. Overall, it took a long time to put together, but it wasn't difficult, just time consuming. Took between 1-2 hours all together to get it ready to use. However, it is super sturdy, and my 42" tv looks awesome on it! Very solid construction, and a beautiful dark brown color with some cherry highlights in it. Also have the coffee table and the bookcase.

Milano Loveseat - Oak/ Olive Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)two points that have me disappointed with this item are: the color of this loveseat is actually a lot darker in person than depicted in the picture.also, i recieved this loveseat without any of the required hardware or tools to put it together.it was left out of the package so i had to go to the hardware store and figure out and buy my own to get this thing together.aside from those two problems, the loveseat is actually very solid and comfortable to lounge in.i like the nice suede-like fabric.

Furnitech 70 inch Transitional console. (Light Cherry Finish) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Looked at dozens of cabinets for our new 60" plasma before coming on this Furnitech unit that had great styling and all of the features I was looking for to house our 4 components and large center speaker. And based on my discussions with Eric at Furnitech, it appeared to be well constructed. So I placed the order, with just a little trepidation as this was my first furniture purchase over the net.

Eric told me they unbox and inspect every unit just prior to shipment which made me feel a bit more confident.Well the unit arrived in less than a week and in perfect condition.Since these units come from Brazil, the packaging was very robust and well thought out.Being a bit of a perfectionist I noticed that the gaps around one of the glass doors was uneven by 1/16".But the unit has quality "european" style hinges which allowed me to get the gaps perfect in less than a minute.

The cherry color and grain are better than what comes through on Furnitech's web site. Its a really nice piece of furniture and we are very pleased.

Walker Edison Empire 52-Inch TV Stand Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is a well constructed, heavy duty TV stand. It's very nice, and aesthetically pleasing. The only dislike I have (which is more of a personal pet peeve and not a design flaw) is that the front of the stand (in the center between the cylindrical supports) is not as wide as I expected it to be.I have a DVR box through DirectTV, which fits perfectly fine, but there is only about 10-12" of space remaining along the side of it, so the only thing I can fit next to it is my center channel speaker.

My DVD player sits on the shelf below it (instead of beside it as I would have prefered ) because there is not enough width for them to fit side by side.Overall though, I have no complaints with the stand at all.

Modern in looks and space-smart, the Empire TV stand from Walker Edison supports heavy-duty home media systems on its spare yet generous frame. Combining beveled tempered safety glass and powder-coated metal legs, the stand holds up to 250 pounds of television on its top shelf with plenty of room for game consoles, DVD players, and stereo components beneath. Angled corners make for spatial ease, and a vertical cutout panel in the back keeps cords tidy and out of sight. A silk-screened coating on the glass renders the shelves deep black, while chrome hardware gleams through for contrast. Adesso Eternity Flat Head Desk Lamp, Satin Steel Review

(More customer reviews)It would be marvelous if this expensive had some specs.Like - what is the power source! No power cord is shown and no batteries?

Sloppy sloppy sloppy doesnt make for good sales.
I would think the manufacturers would want to protect their products with a bit of attention.

Actually, I find some few of the products here on Amazon are very poorly described.I hope that no one is surprised when sales are low.
