Polished Satin Finish Gooseneck Eye Clip on Reading Desk Lamp Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have had these lights for sometime now and they work with my display at trade shows very well. I also use them when teaching drawing to shine a light on my subjects. I removed the safety cage because they were falling off anyway and I didn't like the look of them. They run rather hot thought so I warn people not to touch them. I may buy a few more if I need them.

Adesso Eternity Extended Gooseneck Desk Lamp, Satin Steel Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I purchased this lamp to be a reading lamp for bed.Overall,I am not disappointed. The LEDs are not the super bright variety, but it puts off enough light by which to read.

My one real complaint is that the goose neck is not strong enough to support its own weight.Either slowly over time or in sudden, jerky motions, the lamp "falls".this is not catastrophic and it can be overcome with a little twisting, but it is inconvenient, which is why I did not give the lamp 4 stars.

Overall, this is a good reading lamp and I will continue using it until the next great thing comes along.

Adesso Eternity Gooseneck Desk Lamp, Satin Steel Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I purchased one of these about 6 months ago on a closeout sale from a local Fortunoffs store. It was good at first, with the exception that there is a lot of glare from the sides because the LED's are not recessed far enough.Other than that it ran cool and provided ample light for my needs. The length of the goose neck was not a problem and it supported the head well at a variety of angles without sagging. The problem is that it lasted less than 100 hours. The LED's began failing one row of 4 at a time till now only 1 LED flickers when you turn it on, the remaining 19 are off.Just before posting this review, I sent an e-mail to Adesso to see what they can do about it.Had it not failed, I would have given it 4 stars (I deduct 1 star for the side glare problem).

Here is the follow up:
This is a follow up to the review I wrote a few days ago. I just spoke to Kavita Bora, who is a customer service manager for Adesso, Inc. about my "eternity" lamp lasting less than 100 hours. Her response was that they offer no warranty on their items to the end user at all. There is no warranty registration card that comes with the item for this reason. She admitted that they often receive defective merchandise from their manufacturer in China and they only do returns to the retailers they do business with. The customers only recourse is through the retailer they purchaed the item from, the manufacturer, Adesso, Inc. will not stand behind the product at all. I cannot recommend anyone buy this product, or any other Adesso, Inc. product for this reason.I would like to lower my rating from 2 stars to 1 star, but I can't figure out how to do that.

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought this lamp to read late at night without disturbing my sleeping spouse. This little lamp casts just enough concentrated light to read, and without the flickering that some earlier "booklights" produced. It works great and takes up very little space on my nightstand.
